2009 Optical Clinic 

The optical team used hand held battery operated exam instruments to read the eye for eyeglass presriptions.

  • Over 250 pairs of eyeglasses were prescribed, fitted and given to the patients
  • The remaining eyeglasses will be used to begin an inventory for the 2010 mission trip.

2009 Bible School/Education

  • Bible school was held with children at the clinics, sometimes with stories from Pastor Concepcion
  • Dental hygiene activities were a big hit
  • Baby clothing,  blankets, towels and knitted wash cloths were donated to Casa de Materna

In the villages where medical clinics were held each school received school supplies

Medical Mission & Bible School

We went to 4 villages:

  1. Cacauli
  2. Santa Isabello
  3. La Carbonera
  4. Motuce

  • Medical history was taken on 50 patients
  • We had dental and optical clinics
  • Bible school for the children was ongoing during the clinics
  • 500 Bibles were given to people

  • Learn from our mistakes and omissions
  • Encourage participation from all members of the congregation and community

2009 Building Adobe Homes in Cacauli:

  • Foundations were built for 3 homes by our partners in this mission
  • We worked on completing the walls on 3 houses
  • Your donations of school supplies and clothing were given to the families.
  • We built lasting relationships with the families 

Dental Clinic

  • Dental treatment was limited to extractions and treatment of periodontal infections
  • Fluoride treatments were given to children ages 4 to 11 years
  • Donations of 1400 toothbrushes & 1400 tubes of toothpaste were given to the patients
  • 142 teeth were pulled
